Bhutan
The kingdom of Bhutan, is limited
to north and the North-West by the Chinese autonomous region of
Tiband
and
to the east, the south and south-west by India. Bhutan extends
on 47.000 km ². Its capital is Thimphu.
It is a country made up of
mountains. It has two tops
of more than 7000 m, Chomo Lari (7314 m)
and Kula Kangri (7554 m). The
South is formed by the plain of Duars and
a mountainous edge
which overhangs Assam. None the rivers which cross Bhutan, are
navigable. They move towards the south to throw itself in
Brahmapoutra,
in India.
Its climate, tropical and wand in
the plain of Duars,
moderates in the mountainous
valleys, with cold winters and hot summers. More of two thirds
country is covered with forests.
Fauna is varied: elephants, leopards, tigers, stags and bear.
The country has mineral resources
in addition such as copper,
gypsum, iron ore, limestone, lead,
coal and dolomite.
