LADAKH
    
 Included/understood between the two highest assembly lines of the world, that of the Himalayas and Karakorum,
Ladakh is a vast large area like 2 times Switzerland. Its mountains are spectacular, its desert high plateaus are with the altitudes ranging between 2500 and 5000m and its more high summits culminate with 7000m. Ladakh is composed of 5 areas: Ladakh, Nubra, Rupshu, Purig and Zanskar.
Ladakh is the destination for the amateurs of adventure,
of big spaces, but also for those which wish to discover the world of Buddhism mahayanic.
The gompas of Ladakh, which they are old or more recent, are of a great beauty, like interior frescos that they contain or many finely carved statues. The Buddhist sculptures cut in the rock are a little everywhere in the area, even in zones like the valley of Dras and the low valley of Suru, inhabited today by a population mainly Moslem
