MUSTANG COLORS (11 days)
Thanks to the
flight on Jomsom (2713m) with the
doors of Mustang, this short and easy excursion gathers all
diversities of the 3 weeks routes. Each day is crowned of a “key
period”; we start with villages and monasteries typically
Tibetans
high Mustang in desert landscapes
and
it is then
of Muktinath (3800m) which
we have an overall picture on the valleys ochres and green of
Mustang with in backdrop the massif of Dhaulagiri (8167m) and
Nilgiri (7061m). We go down from Muktinath, place crowned of the
Hindus and the Buddhists by crossing pilgrims of all horizons.
The valley of Kali-Gandaki, between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna I,
inhabited by the Thakali ethnos group (commercial of salt) leads
us until Poonhill before going down again by the forests and the
terraces of the Gurung country until Pokhara, southern
Annapurna (7219m) and in Machapuchare.
