Yes, we all
are Nepalese (you can see part of the team on first page of the site). Our
large friends
Jacqueline and Michel
are our voluntary correspondents in France.
Do not hesitate to call them.
Which weight carries a carrier?
It is a question which one very often asks
us.
The carriers of Trinetra carry 20 kilos of
“useful” load
for the treks in lodges and maximum 30kg for
treks under tent (they carry in more their
personal businesses).
Our carriers often come from
our village (Laprak) know We them well and they are often friends of
childhood. They do this work because they have a ground short period and
some animals at the village but that is not enough to live. They have the
means of buying warm clothing for altitude, neither of shoes, nor of good
sunglasses.
In Trinetra we have the great chance to have
friends
who send clothing of France to us (wind-breakers
of ski, gloves, glasses, shoes).
We equip the carriers with this clothing for
day's works in altitude and before they
are not completely worn
we give them to them.
When you come to Nepal, even
if you do not leave with us they would be very sympathetic to transport some
clothing.
Why an anglophone guide is less expensive
what a French-speaking guide?
It is like
that! It is the law of the market.
In Nepal, the anglophone guide is the
“standard” guide.
The French language is a speciality.
Trinetra is a small agency and we cannot have
in the team of the guides
of all the specialities
and of all the levels. We have especially
guide who started like carriers and which progressed while working.
You will
be able to communicate in French with them.
We make large efforts for the formation as
you will be able to see it while
clicking here.
More on our guides,
It is also a question which
often returns at the end
treks. The tip is of course not obligatory
but in general our customers want to directly thank their team in their
making a small present.
There is no scale but to give you an idea you
can count the one workday price for
one working week.
You often
ask us:
“you really work with the chart? For example you can organize me
a stay with 3 days of VTT, one day of
rafting, an overflight of the chain in
the plane or the montgolfier, a meal
at the inhabitant "?.
Yes! It is our trade. Most extremely that one
made
it was for our Didouche friend. She had already come
4 times at Nepal and it liked much our
country.
She always spoke about it with her friends
reprocessed about the postal and telecommunications authorities
and they told him “Didouche agreement! You
organize
us 15 days in Nepal but one wants to take a shower every evening in
a good hotel, one does not want
to walk, one wants a good guide which speaks French
well”.
Does you known as “all our
carriers are assured” How it walk?
Yes, all our carriers are assured, but it is
not a personal insurance. One gives to our insurer
the number
of carriers which one wants to
ensure and afterwards him the list of
the names is given.
What is what is called a “carrying guide”?
We do not
propose “guide-carriers”.
It should well be understood that they are
two different trades: one cannot ask the same person to carry your luggage
and at the same time to speak to you
about
the landscape, the tops, the ethnos groups.
If you want to make economies it is better to
save
on the standing of the hotel with Katmandu.
End of the trek
is the occasion to have fun the
festival and
to give a tip with all the members of the
team.
It is allowed that
it is equal to
the one workday price per worked week.
Can one obtain the visa
while arriving
at the airport?
One can
obtain his visa while arriving at Tribhuvan Airport (the airport of
Katmandu). It is necessary
to think of taking two photographs of identity
and the dollars or the Euros.
We remind to you that your passport must be
valid
at least 6 months after the date of your return.
For more information
At the exit
of the airport, you will see our guide
with a sign “Trinetra”. Reassure, since 1997
one missed only one customer forever!
Can you reserve the hotel with two euros
to us
the night as that which I did see on the
“Guide
of routard”?
Not, it is not possible! These hotels do not
have
of system of reservation. We can reserve
in
cheap but serious hotels.
IN
TREK
One goes how much kilometers
per day?
One does
not count in kilometers but in hours
of walk. For example, the
turn of complete
Annapurna, Dumré with Pokara, makes approximately 400 kilometers in 17
days, that is to say an average of 23 kilometers per day.
What is this you call a lodge?
A lodge is a small inn where the trekkeurs
can eat and sleep. There are the very comfortable ones, with individual
rooms, there is more rustic. Food there is very varied.
Which difference there are between a trek
“lodge
in lodge” and a trek “under tent”?
At the
beginning of the trekking, there were only treks
“under tent”. Then, on the most attended
paths, like
the turn of Annapurna, Langtang, the area
from
the Everest, “lodges were built”.
The environment of the two types of circuits
is very different :
- under tent, you will be very close to the
Nepalese team (sherpas, cooks) and also closer
nature.
- in lodge, you will be more close to the
trekkeurs
other groups which you will find the evening
in the common room of the lodge.
But we also have in Trinetra
of the unconditional ones
“wild” trek at the inhabitant which leaves
right
in the mountain with Juste a guide and a
carrier
Food is it very
spiced?
The Nepaleses like to eat spiced (“piro”).
But for you do not worry, the kitchen in trek
under tent or in lodge is adapted to your tastes.
Of course, if you wish it, ask your cook a
small small pepper of the country (“koursani”)..
Yes, no problem in the big cities
and in the area
of Annapurna. But it is
to better take with you of the additional
batteries, because in altitude they function less better.
We rent them each
time that is necessary
but it is necessary to hold
sufficiently in advance.
You will have an idea of the
price by consulting the page
on the
hiring of material.
It is possible to rent a
radio to communicate between the camps?
Yes, it is possible.
